Important Update About NFTs

Starting January 30, 2026, IMVU will be removing the blockchain component from NFTs and rebranding all existing NFTs as Limited Edition (LE) products. With this change, these items will no longer exist on the blockchain and will instead be fully supported as Limited Edition digital products within the IMVU platform, retaining their exclusivity and in-platform value while aligning with our current product ecosystem.

What are Limited Edition (LE) products?

Limited Edition (LE) products are rare, collectible items that can be owned by a set number of people determined by their total quantity.

You can buy, resell, and create your own LE clothing, hair, and accessories.

Owning an LE product unlocks a gold LE profile badge and gold username.

How do Limited Edition (LE) products work?

LE products can be bought and sold right in the Shop with VCOIN. Once purchased, LE items will be displayed in the Limited Edition (LE) category of your inventory. Other users can click the gold LE badge on your profile disc to see which LE items you own.

LE buyers get a gold username and LE badge. Unlike regular items, you will be able to resell LE items, with Creators getting a percentage of proceeds from the resale.

LE products will work natively for all users.

How are Limited Edition (LE) products different from regular products?

LE products are rare, collectible items that can be owned by a set number of people determined by their total quantity.

The total quantity of a specific LE product is determined by the Creator and no more will be created after this number.

LE products are easy to distinguish from regular items. LE items will be in the Limited Edition (LE) category of the Shop, marked with the gold LE badge, and are priced in VCOIN. There will also be a confirmation screen before purchase that verifies the item is an LE.
