Important Update About NFTs

Starting January 30, 2026, IMVU will be removing the blockchain component from NFTs and rebranding all existing NFTs as Limited Edition (LE) products. With this change, these items will no longer exist on the blockchain and will instead be fully supported as Limited Edition digital products within the IMVU platform, retaining their exclusivity and in-platform value while aligning with our current product ecosystem.

Who can resell Limited Edition (LE) products?

All users who own a LE product will be able to resell their LE product for VCOIN. There may be some restrictions on countries and US states where VCOIN can be purchased or withdrawn. See full list here.

All users can send VCOIN, receive VCOIN, and convert VCOIN to Credits. All users who can purchase VCOIN can purchase LE products. VCOIN earned through Gigs or gifted by friends can be used to purchase LE products.

When can you resell Limited Edition (LE) products?

You can buy and resell LE products in the Shop on IMVU Mobile and IMVU Desktop.

Where do you resell Limited Edition (LE) products?

LE products are first created by IMVU Creators and submitted to the Shop. You can buy and resell LE products through the Shop and in Live Rooms.

How do you resell Limited Edition (LE) products?

LE products can be listed in the Shop at a fixed price. Buyers can purchase LE products from the Shop or directly from you if you are in a Live Room and are wearing your LE product.

When reselling a LE product, the lowest-priced LE products in the set will be displayed, and you can also see how many LE products in the initial sale are remaining.

After the LE product is sold, the reseller pays a small processing and royalty fee in VCOIN based on the sale price. You will receive a confirmation message, receipt in your VCOIN wallet, and a message once your LE item has been resold.

You will also be able to track your LE product transactions in your VCOIN Wallet. Click the link below to learn the different ways to resell LE products.

How to Resell Limited Edition (LE) Products

How do you set the price of Limited Edition (LE) products?

You can review the sales history of LE product to see the previous prices at which it was sold. The minimum price for LE products is 250 VCOIN ($1 USD). You can also view prices of other LE products in the Shop. Lastly, you can change the prices of the LE products you listed for sale.

Just like any collectible item, the scarcity and variable demand for LE products mean prices may change. It depends entirely on what the current owner chooses to set as the price and what the buyer considers reasonable.

Just because someone lists a LE product at a certain price does not indicate that its value is that price.

How do you hide or delist Limited Edition (LE) products?

You can delist your LE product from the Shop at any point by clicking Remove. However, that item will still be visible in the Shop as a not listed item.

How many Limited Edition (LE) products can you resell?

You can resell as many LE products as you own, but you can only resell one LE product per transaction.

Although LE products have a total quantity greater than one, you can only own and resell one LE product at a time.

How much do I earn from reselling Limited Edition (LE) products?

Resellers earn VCOIN when they resell a LE product. Sellers get 70% of the sale price and Creators earn part of the royalty for each secondary sale.

For example, if you resell a LE product for 1,000 VCOIN, you would earn 700 VCOIN and pay 300 VCOIN in fees.

How much does it cost to resell Limited Edition (LE) products?

Similar to our current Shop and other online marketplaces, there are standard fees that go towards supporting Creators and LE products. See below for an explanation of each fee.

What is the processing fee?

The processing fee covers the cost of payment processing and third-party fees to our partner Uphold.

What is the royalty fee?

The royalty fee goes to the original Creator of the LE product and is distributed to Creators along the derivation chain if applicable, including IMVU. It also covers the cost of the Creator tools for LE products.
