@Shauna

I understand what you are saying, but there are ways to do things here. Did you report this person? Have you submitted a help ticket with all of the information about this person, including any screen shots of that post? If you feel unsafe here then you have to do that and let IMVU know what is going on. Unfortunately, posting here in the Discussions will not get you the help you need.

If you do not know how to do those things, I can point you in the direction you need to go.

To file a help ticket you need to go here...https://support.imvu.com/support/tickets/new

When you fill out the help ticket be sure to include everything that happened and provide any screen shots you may have from that person. You can also include his avatar information. IMVU may ask you to verify that you are who you say you are and that you own the account. Whatever they tell you to do...do it. Only make 1 help ticket for this. If you make multiple tickets you will be pushed back into the que and it will take longer for them to get to your ticket. It usually takes 5 or more days for them to respond. Keep checking your email for updates and communications from them. In the meantime, block that person and any others that you feel are associated with that person.

You shouldn't feel unsafe. If you need further help, reach out to IMVU Customer Service by email or Live Chat. I hope this helps you. I'll keep checking this thread to see how you are and if anything has happened or changed.

While this is an idea, it won't fly. I have been here at IMVU since 2012 and I have never been harassed nor bullied. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen, just not to me. I have seen tons of complaints here in the Forums about this subject and it's ridiculous. You all must be a bunch of kids.

Only YOU can ignore or not be a part of the stupidity of harassing or bullying. That means...when you are in a room and someone starts it, report them or leave. Or both. It's that simple. If they harass you in other ways like sending you messages and such in your inbox, report it and block the person. None of this is difficult to do. There are flags to report it.

The problem with your suggestion is this...

Everytime someone said something that you did not like or agree with, that person gets reported. And that would be a lot of people...just for speaking their mind or giving their opinion. Not just a bully. We do not need a "System" for this. Use your head and report that person if you feel you are being bullied.

This is a social site. A very PUBLIC social site. There are all kinds of people here and you run into some who are just plain stupid. Immature. Bored. You name it. Do they always act in the way you think they should act? No. You just have to learn to walk away from it. Pay attention to the age groups you associate with. That has a lot to do with it. Young peaople these days are just out of control. With EVERYTHING. And be sure you actually know what bullying and harassment are. Make sure you have proof of it before you report people. Just good advice.
