Is anyone else seeing a drastic drop in sales over the last couple of months? I'm down by $1-200 a fortnight on what I used to earn. This is way more than usual fluctuations. I'm worried.

just have to vent this but at the moment i'm approximately £200 to £300 down from the time imvu gave 25% extra for the covid issues, whilst simultaneously looking at a £180 monthly gas and electricity bill when it should be around £50 to £60 ..............

quite honestly, i dont know what to do anymore

I noticed that sales dropped a lot, I was creator level 6, and I plummeted to zero, I don't have much more time to create, because I work now :D I hope better days will come

its def a combo of perfect storm elements that are leading to imvus decline, i could try to list the lot and run out of webpage (not kidding either)

- one of the lastest is the way they have pushed for creators to 'embrace' their NEXT studio creation center with gusto!! DESPITE the fact its graphics engine ruins a MASSIVE percentage of transparency meshes (literally ruins ALL of my nylon clothing) and as someone before mentioned about the lifespan use of a mobile user here will be next to nothing, wheres the balance in user friendliness?

- i personally dont believe the rooms and effort put into everything HERE at imvu will EVER be appreciated on a smaller screen - you HAVE to embrace old school tech as strongly or maybe even MORE SO than someone with a mobile!

but i still maintain people have been moving away from imvu for WAY longer than new tier rating mechanics because they didnt feel they had the freedom to interact with others in the ADULT way they wanted to !

- put simply, whats the point of AP if it doesnt fit the bill?

Nearly everyone I know is planning on switching to that other site *wink wink* in the Fall after they force the new VIP tiers on everyone Nov. 1st. If we're going to have to pay more if we want the same amount of public rooms, etc. we may as well put our money where they might appreciate having us there. IMVU has done nothing to make members feel valued and especially the creators...they're treated worse than the general public and they're the ones who keep the catalog going. It makes zero sense to me but it is what it is and we've all chosen to go elsewhere when the time comes.

as no answers are forthcoming about the drop in sales, would it not be appropriate to try and find other remedies or solutions?

- lets say for example, the dramatic drop in sales happening now might be connected to the world-wide massive rise in the cost of living, and if it is, why would anyone spend a penny on a virtual chatsite when the gas bills going through the roof?

- to THAT i ask, would it not be prudent to give people what they want?

- rather than limit what you have, wouldnt it be best to include so much more?

- this isnt about lowering your standards, its about increasing the potential for income and the proof there comes in the fact that so many have left for other chatsites precisely because they offer more choice!

If you find a discussion about loosening restrictions on AP they won't remove your comment. This discussion is about sales drastically dropping and was an inquiry as to why that might have happened. A drastic drop in sales wouldn't likely be due to an ongoing issue but would more likely be some kind of settings fiasco on the backside or swaths of people leaving and new members who don't shop replacing them.

I think possibly that the mobile forced video advertisements before joining rooms has affected users. It makes me think that IMVU decided that they were not earning enough from creators or customers so they implemented video advertisements before joining chat rooms to get money in other places. Also mobile users are offered free precredits daily with purchases.

I feel also a lot of people were offended by the new VIP. It looked like the classic numbers dropped by 1/3 or 1/2 after that was started.

Room meshers maybe should make more photo rooms and single small rooms with all the furniture built in.

IMVU (Together Labs) (MetaJuice) is fully concentrated on making NFTs and Crypto. They just flew their Vcoin/ Vcore people to France for a convention.

Our earnings should be increased.

Tiers, no more incentive to get to pro churning out lots and lots of products great for imvu they get paid each time a product is made. I know many who just now do the odd item it really doesnt pay to create lots when the returns are so low. More money going on the new vip to imvu and money being swallowed up on rooms and hosting. People have only so much to spend i guess developers are being hit from all angles when the chunks of cash is being swallowed by imvu.

I know a lot of people have been seeing a gradual drop, but what I was specifically talking about was a very sudden, very drastic drop over Feb/March. It was as though something went very wrong and stopped people from being able to shop.

My sales are up a little bit from then but still have not recovered.

Mine is a different kind of situation. I haven't really seen a huge drop in overall sales, HOWEVER, I have seen a drastic increase in predit sales, which in my eyes don't count because I get nothing for them (let's be honest, Dev tokens are nothing), and I've seen a HUGE decrease in room and furniture sales over the past year+. BUT, and here's the caveat...I more than quadrupled my output over the past 1-1/2 years and was creating like a crazy person daily until a month ago when I stopped almost entirely. A HUGE chunk of my sales this past year has been event clothing I've sold for various music festivals or fashion show sales so those need to be pulled from the equation because if it wasn't for those events I wouldn't have had those sales. And the thing with event wear is it sells really well for the week before and during the event but afterward, it's over for those particular pieces and they never sell again. Those event items sell but it's literally just enough for me to make back my costs for creating all of them and maybe an additional 5K credits (I've spent hours pulling the numbers and doing the math). So while that might make my numbers look good it adds very minimal funds to my coin purse. In my case, it's smoke and mirrors.

@FemmeDraven Well, not to mention, those mobile users have an average IMVU account lifespan of a month. 90% of them are gone after 30 days. What have they spent in that amount of time? Predits. IMVU hasn't made anything off of them, except maybe a purchase of AP, and we certainly haven't. And they aren't giving good word-of-mouth to others either because the app doesn't have any way to tell your load weight. They get tired of being screamed at or booted for being heavy and then go tell everyone else that IMVU is full of pr*cks. Great game plan!

This is what you get when you cater to the kids on mobile devices (let's play Barbie) and they don't stick around for hours on end as the adults do. They're watching the idiot youtubers who come here to wreak havoc and they replicate that until they get bored and move on. Most of my sales are guest users these days and we all know how long they're going to stick around.

I meant those with big butts and big boobs, but normal clothes seem to suffer a huge decline in sales.
