I'm trying to import custom feet I modeled, but they just won't fit together perfectly.
The rigging is correct, and the weighting is correct.
Thinking the issue might actually be my 3D model, I tested the model included in the IMVU toolkit itself, and the problem persists; I don't know what else to do.

The template mapping guide needs to be adjusted so the mesh of the feet connects to legs.

The template mapping guide allows incremental adjustments in the X Y and Z axis. Doing so will move where the mesh meets the rest of the avatar.
The adjustments are made by writing a plus or minus sign followed by a number in each of the 3 axis. Zero is usually the default setting of the original mesh but if one doesn't own the original mesh and derives from a preexisting product then some adjustments might be needed.
Example: +1 or -3
