Hello please if someone could help me, I logged into the IMVU Classic version on my PC yesterday and its not working for me, I am not sure if IMVU has got rid of the classic version or even worse I have been hacked. When I logged into the classic version yesterday it came up with a message saying (There was a problem getting the avatar info) I did even try and cache on setting but that still didn't work. Please I need help urgently! :(

The best way to find out is to do some research. Get different opinions from a several different sources or sites. Relying on opinions found only from a few sites might be an invitation to user bias or dishonesty because it stands to reason that some sites will make fake customer reviews on their own products. As a rule of thumb watch out for lists of customer reviews that lack complaints or seem to only have positive reviews.
Another rule of thumb is that anything that is free has a catch or hidden price. In this case it might be data harvesting. Nothing in life is free, especially services.
I recommend shopping around and doing research before settling for whatever you are looking for. Be careful of free trials and deals that seem too good.

Maybe someone at IMVU sometimes forgets to notify the users that there will be some difficulties getting services during server maintenance.
There Shouldn't Be Any Maintenance On The IMVU Classic, That's The Whole Point Of It Being A Classic, How Can It Be Classic, If You Update & Mess With It?? ~__~

It's not often I get that popup window but it seems to happen during conditions that are similar when it does happen. Yesterday I was also experiencing that along with a few other similar symptoms.
1. Yesterday I got the same popup window: There was a problem getting the avatar information when trying to check profile cards
2. Yesterday I also got a similar popup window: There was a problem getting the room information when trying to check room cards
3. Yesterday I got a popup window stating there was a problem getting me into the room and to try again later shortly after each time I tried to loading into chatrooms. A rooms automatically closes if this happens. It's annoying but there's no need to panic about Putin's ninja hackers invading IMVU.
I was also getting warning popup windows every few minutes that I was not connected. The connection was shortly after established again but not long after this happened again.
After this pattern repeated several more times I logged out because these patterns seem to be related to a problem with internet connections between the IMVU users and the IMVU servers.
All the PCs owned by the IMVU users were probably not getting hacked at or close to the same time. The problems is most likely related to the internet providers that IMVU uses. I base this theory on that we experienced these same symptoms during the same timeframe while still being able to access other internet sites.
One solution when this happens is to just to postpone using IMVU for a few hours. Lucky these related symptoms don't happen frequently but when they do everything seems to be working again 2 to 3 hours later.
