Is anyone else seeing a drastic drop in sales over the last couple of months? I'm down by $1-200 a fortnight on what I used to earn. This is way more than usual fluctuations. I'm worried.

@RainLTD Someone from IMVU will chime in and say the numbers on the client aren't accurate because they don't reflect mobile or next users which I find comical because the folks using those methods of accessing IMVU don't hang around more than a few minutes at a time. But it is their go-to for explaining away the low numbers in client.

About rooms and furniture, normal things don't sell as much, dating things do. Been at this for 16 years now, and create many things, on many accounts across the board. It does seem as if what IMVU promotes generates more sales for certain items. My skins, various other things and clothes do NOT do better than my rooms, at the current moment. Most of my rooms are also not low cost either. General sales? Now I can confirm that those are down.

However, user wise, I can sell zero on this account but another account that sells a different type of room skyrockets. IMVU is very odd right now. I have heard some interesting things while reading the thread. I do hope that they are not pushing back those that are earning all money, and promoting those that are earning all credits. But my sales just seem to be going back to pre-covid sales, maybe a little below.

One other thing I noticed is the number of people that are on imvu at a time, that number in the corner, if it is correct, the numbers are very low. Pre covid we were at 70k-86k a day at anytime, from what I remember. During covid it was well over 115k at most times. Now that number is super low, 45k? Thats more scary to me, possibly because its the main thing I see everyday lol.

I have also noticed sales have gone up to more or less the regular amount during the weekend, haven't checked the distribution of promos vs real credits, but at least that seems like a progress, hope its something in result to this being fixed

So all of a sudden I had 24 sales but it was one person and exactly half of them were promo credits. In essence, I just had an involuntary 50% off sale. All of my solds today were Guest buyers with the exception of the person who bought the 24 items and paid for half of them. I'm guessing these were all mobile customers. What IMVU does to us with promo credits would be the same as leasing shop space in real life, then having the landlord force you to give away merchandise to whomever they choose with no limits on how much you had to give away. This is not okay.

My sales have done the same as everyone elses. Just chiming in. But I say its the state of the world at this time. I just hope it all blows over. Good luck to everyone as well.

Is anyone really suprised? its nothing to do with the economy and everything to do with IMVU focus on the new "non" user who opens the app on the bus on the way home from school dresses their avi with free stuff then gets bored after 5 min. Rooms and furniture are dead... studio and mobile put and end to them pretty quickly. Studio put an end to community even after we tried to explain what people USE imvu for and now its unusable. Theres no incentive to be here to create let alone socialise ...the platform is plagued with instability unable to log in to not being able to load rooms catalogue is well we ALL know what it is - idk what algorithm they are using but it cuts off your sales after 2 days...your new product can sell like hotcakes then without fail day 3 zero. Look at the utter trash on the first pages!!!! sorry but its garbage. Its the end of days for us for the first time in 15 years i no longer think of IMVU with the reverence i always have. Imvu also feel they need to give everything for free and mass gift users daily ..its cheapened the site tremendously - this new paid creator programme is just about them being able to have cheap content made for them to give out for free exasperating the problem. Togetherlabs should of left IMVU structure alone and started another platform focusing on their tweens..core and studio are 2 very different beasts - mobile well its not IMVU regardless of how much you try to feed it to us its of NO interest to us.

Yep. Seems they're trying to bleed that last little drop of blood from the turnip they've been squeezing. I was at a club last night and it was DEAD and this is a club night where we would generally have 25 or more people. When people did finally start to show up because we were harassing them on FB and in messages all anyone was talking about is that other site and how they're learning stuff over there and the folks who were creating here have all but stopped (myself included). If IMVU was trying to chase off the veterans they're succeeding. I really hope they enjoy the mobile users who don't stick around and shop because that's all they're going to have left and those folks won't stay once they get bored and they will get bored.

Putting my 2 cents worth in, Even IMVU admit that there is a drastic drop in sales across the board. So what do they do? INCREASE VIP prices and remove rooms.

just noticed RigsK comment on:

"We're seeing declines across the board, not just in catalog sales. On a brighter note, we're just starting to enter the summer period in the northern hemisphere which is usually a time where we see a bump in users."

...were putting our lives on a HOPE and PRAYER!?

...summer's gonna get BETTER!?

i cant help but feel, summer is a time were people will be out and about and doing much more STUFF than plaything around on a virt chat device!

imvu, youve GOT TO BE MORE PROACTIVE on this!

I noticed a drop in income about 3 months ago. Compared year on year - 70-80%. It is very demotivating when you work the same, try, add even more than before - and your income diminishes so drastically.

In my opinion, the big problem here is, as mentioned before, too much give-away of free credits. For me it is incomprehensible that for what we have done - we have NO income - and this is the case with promo credits.

Also, icons in Next, Desktop and Mobile - (I am a BIG fan of new features like shine, normal maps and stuff, BUT) I don't know for the average buyer - but I can't imagine shopping there. The only place where I continue to buy and view things is the old client. These new, asexual, boring and identical icons (which, despite the fact that when adding a product, can now be set somehow to meaningfully represent the object - and they often turn into other ones, at least I noticed ...) do not attract customers at all. .

You have to do something about it, because sooner or later the creators will simply start moving to other, competing metavers.

yes I agree, I think there is a big imbalance! because I make a lot of sales on this product (so nothing changes on this side) and I see that I really earn less compared to a similar product sold 1 year ago for exemple.

Oh, this is a whole other issue we've been on the rampage about. They're giving promo credits out like candy...especially to the mobile users who they're playing favorites with. To make matters worse, mobile users don't shop like classic desktop users did.

There are a lot of ways to get promo credits now - you can get them as a bonus when buying real credits, through doing surveys, and through completing tasks like registering your email and turning on notifications. I understand that promos are an important way of enticing new customers, but it seems like they are giving too many now.
