Is anyone else seeing a drastic drop in sales over the last couple of months? I'm down by $1-200 a fortnight on what I used to earn. This is way more than usual fluctuations. I'm worried.

Thank you that's really sweet of you to say! I didn't apply for it but I may in the future. I'm very interested to see how the program goes.

(Posting on my alt gowns coz this forum setting makes it too troublesome to switch back to wiing) I would have applied in hope of making this place better but I don't have much confidence and time. I am hoping people like Polystyrene gets it coz I know she will contribute a lot more than myself. She has helped so many creators over the years and always quick to response questions in the forums, very passionate about imvu and one of the most knowledgeable creators in most fields. I believe she's the ideal candidate.

It is harder for meshers who make usable products to lower the Promos But -

If their Artist Derivers would bump up their profit a tiny bit, it would help greatly!

As all those in the *know* bump up just a tad-bit, it would be good for us all...

Many will not have AP either so if you don't mind setting everything you make to AP that would slow it down as well.

I did up many of my sales prices last year, I saw a definite change afterwards. Maybe it's time to do it again.

I see many complaining about too many Promo Credits. The fix is elementary, Raise your Prices!

The Promo User will buy the cheapest they can find!

You'll want the money, because it seems IMVU want you to slow down on what your doing to make money now and learn and try some new stuff, while documenting it and working with staff. A few developers are earning that 10k a month or close to it and for them to devote 25% of their time.. is money lost, so I applaud IMVU on the offer.

I think its a fantastic offer for developers and wish the best of luck to all who applied.

Well said. I too applied and in the application I stated I would not be paid but I would rather help the community.

That's good to hear. I hope the folks that stick around see improvements where fair pay in exchange for their hard work is concerned. The overabundance of predit sales is just one problem they're facing.

Hi Folks,

The Creator in Residence Program is NOT replacing the Creator Program. The Creator Program is the mainstay of IMVU and is NOT going away.

I hope all of you are right and I'm wrong. I'd hate to see people waste even more time with IMVU only to discover they won't change and suddenly care about the well-being of their creators after all the years of treating them poorly. I, unfortunately, have to go with a saying my grandmother tossed around often and it's proven to be true time and time again, "A tiger never changes its stripes." I personally am out of here in the fall when they finally force the tiers on everyone who hasn't already switched or jumped ship. Everyone I know and I'm not exaggerating, is leaving IMVU...half of them already have one foot out the door and into another virtual experience (where we can walk). It feels like IMVU wants to get rid of the old-timers and we're happy to oblige them.

Honestly, I've applied for the CIR program myself, and my main intent wasn't even the money.

Not gonna lie, the money would be super nice and helpful, but the ability to communicate directly with IMVU staff and actually be heard, maybe even taken seriously and be able to affect some real change on the platform? That's what interests me.

I want to make this platform better more than I want to get paid. I want to advocate for all of the frustrated users and creators who I feel are not being understood or taken seriously by our staff. I want to be able to impress on them how serious some of these problems are and maybe, hopefully, get some real solutions and answers to these issues and problems.

This mentality of "sleeping with the enemy" or "stabbing other creators in the back" - it solves nothing. All it does is exacerbate the problems and retain bad blood - it doesn't make anything better. You can't make IMVU better by hating them and refusing to work with them.

A Creator In Residency is not just someone who's going to be creating for IMVU, they're someone who is going to have a direct line of contact and communication to the people who make changes to policy and features. It's not like CIR is going to just be paid to make things for the catalogue like all creators do, they're going to have other responsibilities and tasks to do as well and they're, hopefully, going to have an actual voice and some influence. I don't want to see this platform go under - if there's something I can do to solve that or help change that I will 100% try to do that, always.

Whoever gets the job, I believe it will benefit our community in the long run. *fingers crossed for those who have applied*

The payment for the CIR program is up to $10k. In reality they may not pay that amount.

I think it's very unlikely that IMVU will get rid of creators. They generate too much income, through VIP, credits for submission fees, and providing products for users to spend money on. Having such a large, constantly growing catalogue is part of IMVU's appeal. A few in house artists are not going to keep up with the demand.

I don't understand why you have such a problem with creators earning direct income from IMVU. It doesn't mean they only care about themselves or are "sleeping with the enemy". That's a ridiculous thing to say. Sales are abysmal, people need money. As money-earning creators we are already on IMVU's payroll anyway. Stop trying to pit creators against each other.
