Hello IMVU team and community, As an AP user, I find it discouraging that when we display AP items in our posts—items we paid for directly from the Shop—our content can be reported, and in some cases, accounts may even be banned. It feels unfair to purchase these products but not have a safe way to showcase them. A fair solution would be to allow AP-only posts, where content featuring AP products is shown only to the AP community. That way, GA and underage users are fully protected, while AP members can enjoy and share what they’ve bought. To be clear, this isn’t about allowing inappropriate content. Posts should still follow community standards—no sexual acts, no gore, and nothing harmful. But if an image simply features AP products in a pose or styled look, it should be acceptable to share within the AP community. This change would protect users while also giving AP members the fair opportunity to display the products they’ve invested in. Thank you for considering this suggestion.

Honestly, I’m not sure what I’d do if they never allow us to display AP content in our posts… but right now the best option looks like heading over to Second Life and leaving IMVU altogether. They’re quick to grab our money for AP, but can’t be bothered to give us a real AP-only community… it’s pathetic. IMVU loves to cash the AP payments but won’t give us a proper AP-only community—so what’s the point? It feels trashy that IMVU can’t even create an AP-only community where AP content is displayed freely—especially when people are paying for it. IMVU has turned into a trashy cash grab with no vision; they dangle “adult” features in Shop and leaving it up for grabs, then act shocked when adults want to actually use them. If they don’t want grown folks being grown, then maybe they should stop charging grown folks for grown items. Second Life might be older, but at least it respects grown folks enough to let them do grown folks’ things without all this fake moral policing. Honestly, the smarter option is leaving this mess behind and moving to Second Life, where adult users are actually respected. IMVU looks like it wants the money without the maturity and respect for its adult users—and that’s clown behavior.
