Suggestion for More Privacy Options on Posts

I’d like to share a concern that’s been on my mind regarding privacy on IMVU. Right now, it feels a little unsettling that anyone—even complete strangers—can follow you and view your posts at any time. For me, that creates a sense of vulnerability, since I don’t always want every part of my activity visible to people I don’t know.

I think it would be very helpful if IMVU added an option where users could approve followers before they can see posts, similar to how Instagram works. Another idea would be to allow us to hide posts from the general public and instead choose who can view them. Even better, it would be amazing if each post had its own audience settings, like TikTok does, so we could decide on a post-by-post basis who can see it.

I believe these features would give users more control and peace of mind, while still allowing us to enjoy the social and creative side of IMVU. Thank you for considering this suggestion—I’d love to hear what others think as well.

  1. It would be really nice if IMVU gave us the option to choose who can see our posts—just like Facebook does. Having audience controls where we can choose from friends, followers, or even exclude certain people would make posting feel a lot safer and more personal.
