Meshers not being compensated for imvu gifts?

IMVU often hands out bundles, that are made by creators that, in exchange get credit and exposure I guess. (Not sure if they get paid)

What about the meshers behind those products? Are they asked for permission to not get compensated for their mesh?

Meshers always get their derivation fee when a derivation sells but what if IMVU decides to hand it out for free, as a reward? I am asking because my mesh was derived from and bundled into the current "Thankful" bundle, a login reward.

I was not asked if I agreed to not get paid, I haven't seen any form of compensation so far and I wonder if all other meshers are fine with handing out involuntary freebies?

I have contacted imvu advocate about issues with my linked accounts so I will add this to the pile, thanks!

I would contact creator.advocate@imvu.com and ask them about it. You definitely should have been asked for permission.

@Polystyrene Thanks for replying! The texturer added me as a friend but never asked me anything, when I noticed his derivation was bundled and handed over to imvu  I contacted him but he didn't reply, he unfriended me instead.

This just doesn't feel fair.. I think not only the texturer but also the mesher should be asked for permission to hand their work out for free. All I know is that I wasn't asked anything and the creator ignores me, just feels wrong.

Generally IMVU requires creators to get permission from the mesher to use their product in promotions. I'm not sure why this didn't happen in your case. But yeah if the product is just given out for free then no one is receiving any profit from sales. The texturer involved would be contracted by IMVU and receive a one off payment, the mesher being derived from does not receive anything from IMVU (aside from "exposure" lol).
