[Archived - LestatDeLioncourt] How to Save or Collect Pre-Submissions in Studio
Same PID Color Changes and Same Outfit
Easy Work Flow
I have been asked by many people who are getting lost with the "Save Button" and the "Save As" under File Drop-Down. People are getting confused on how to wear the same outfit for all the recolors.
Making Products for Submission which are collections of Color Changes of the same PID with same Outfit.
Follow this step by step tutorial walk through on a Test PID.
Open for Derive PID 57184169 or something simple.
Save unedited version. Click Info Tab. Click Change Photo and select one. Slide down to Name and call it "UnEdited PID 57184169".
Dress your avatar with the Outfit and Accessories for any "hires" photos you want to take.
1st color change. Click File and the Click "Save As". Name this one "White Shirt". Add a white Texture.
Click Info Tab. Click Change Photo and select one. Slide down to Name and check it is called "White Shirt" Press Save at the Top Right side (not Save As). Take a Hires Photo if you want.
Make a Green Shirt. Click File and the Click "Save As". Name this one "Green Shirt". Add the Green Texture.
Click Info Tab. Click Change Photo and select one. Slide down to Name and check it is called "Green Shirt" Press Save at the top right side (not Save As). Take a Hires Photo if you want.
Click File and the Click "Save As". Name this one your Next Color Change. Continue for all your color changes, etc.
Note this work flow is simple. It keeps your projects with easy photos for submission when you are ready to release them as a "Set". It allows you to take the hiresnap or hiresnbg photos for HTML pages, etc. with the same outfit look, poses, etc.
We pick a PID for Derive. Dress your avatar for all the color changes and snapshots.
Always do File > Save As a Name, beforeyou start the next color change. Change the Info Tab. Take Camera photos if you want. Before the next "Save As" (color change) then continue the steps over and over.
You should end up with a"Set of Pre-Submissions similar to this...

Great question... I like the idea but we still have to open the "Drafts" in the Studio; one by one, and press Submit on each. Checking price, similar icons, title, etc. Sets are still a good idea when someone finds the classic catalog. I hope the new platform catalogs are overhauled soon.

Great explanation. Thank you!
Is there a way to submit all products at once?
