Now with Studio:
WOOHOO! <3
Really helps save on KB weight, so I'm happy this is encouraged!
Is there or will there be a way to duplicate settings too?
I've been having fun with all these features and getting a lil tired of going back and forth to duplicate within the same product for symmetry, etc.

Let's say I'm deriving a backyard room shell with built in lanterns. Each lantern is it's own material instead of the mesher making many controlled by one material slot. I can plug in a material and then select that asset for each of the lanterns, but I'd still have to redo the light, emission, illumination, all those settings for each still.
It's nice when meshers make them originally all different incase we want to do different effects/materials for them, but in the cases where we want them all the same, we can make it easier by selecting the same asset instead of putting the same material for each, but are still stuck with having to manually select all the settings again, and look back to make sure they're the same.
@ShopTina Yeah, I need to do more testing x.x I'd love some videos from people who figured out how to make color saturated shines instead of just white-grey shines. I've been trying to start at the lowest and build upwards but the contrast isn't high enough with low numbers, so I'm sure there's a trick to this.

[Archived]@DiamondBones Sorry, I am not being clear. Why do you need to duplicate a material? I just need to describe the use for this if I am to write up an improvement. Thanks!

[Archived]Ah! Yes. Now I understand. So I can add it to the improvement ticket, can you give me a brief description of you workflow and how you would use this feature? Thanks!

[Archived]If you're doing a duplicate effects, I believe you can now duplicate the component (I haven't played with studio since the last update), but I've always had to do it by hand for other components in a derivative. Also tweak your iridescence and glow lower. I start with 0.01 and tweak from there. Not all products shimmer, shine and glow the same. And color matters on the glow intensity in most cases. A blue may be less intense than white for instance, and to create a standard, one of them needs to be tweaked. (I swear, I need to make vids on this stuff.)

[Archived]the revert option works, as well as the inherit images. this only works for the original edit, and any saves out will delete them. i'm showing a screenshot of the revert option also as mentioned by @Drosselmeyer![inheret]()

[Archived]@Drosselmeyer Interesting! I tried it with one of my rooms I had never edited in Studio before, only Legend, so I'm not sure if imvu keeps a history log of those saved changes in the past.
I reverted them, and while it did change the material icons back to default in the vertical Material list on the left of the screen, it did not change the actual materials when I opened each one to check, even when I clicked preview. BUT when I changed the texture with one of my own for just one and hit preview, it changed all of the others back to default selected. I guess it just needed a lil nudge. But yeah! The assets did revert back! I can't remember which products of mine have editing histories, so I might have just lucked out on this test. Thanks still! I feel like I'm progressing ^_^

[Archived]When deriving from a product and changing a material's textures or properties there is an option labeled 'Revert' that becomes available if you click on the '...' on the material. This will revert all changes back to the derived parent product state. Though I just noticed that it actually just reverts back to that last opened state. So, if you have derived, made changes, saved saved, closed the project, opened the product for edit, made more changes, --> when you click 'Revert' it will return to the state it was when you opened the product for edit. I am not sure if this is the intended behavior. I am going to write it up as a bug.

[Archived]In studio, we can duplicate a particle and it will include all the settings we've selected. I love that shortcut. Is there a version for Materials? Like these settings:

[Archived]@ShopTina Is there a refresh/restart in studio? Like I can click on a material and return it to it's original asset so I could restart editing those ones in studio, instead of starting from a fresh derive?

[Archived]@DiamondBones Thanks for the feedback!
I am trying to understand what you mean by "duplicate". Can you give me more information on what you are trying to accomplish? Thanks!

[Archived]Legend items cannot be changed in studio. There was an inherent bug swapping the derividive back and forth between the two. If you want a studio product, you’ll have to start fresh
